Executive Family Name History & Coat of Arms — Digital Pack

This is the pack you choose when the gift must feel archival: a full-page portrait coat of arms ready for framing, plus a separate deep multi-source surname history — not a short blurb squeezed beside the shield.

Commemorative research and heraldic artwork — not a living genealogy of your relatives, and not an “official family coat of arms” entitlement for every bearer of the name.

Our most-gifted upgrade — customers rate the Executive pack ~5★. Framing-quality achievement + research essay denser than the Standard single sheet. Locked surname artwork for matching family reorders.

Layout — what you open

  • Page 1 — Portrait coat of arms: near full-bleed Herald Lab premium painted achievement on aged parchment; surname on the banner (not a motto line). Designed to hang.
  • Page 2+ — Deep history: gothic/blackletter surname header, dense serif essay covering etymology, regions, spelling variants, early records, and geographic spread when sources support them.
  • Optional blazon / arms-status block when documentation exists — or a clear reconstruction label when it does not.

What you receive

  • Digital printable PDF (Letter / A4 portrait) — nothing mailed.
  • Full-page framing CoA + separate multi-source history page(s).
  • Surname-consistent locked achievement so a relative’s later reorder matches yours.
  • Custom research typically within ~24 hours of payment.

Why upgrade from Standard

Standard ($49) Executive (this pack, $99)
One landscape page — arms left, history right 2+ portrait pages — full-page CoA + separate deep history
Shorter origin narrative Multi-source research essay — denser, gift-and-archive ready
Ideal desk / folder keepsake Ideal wall framing + family-history reading

Stay with Standard if you want a single elegant sheet. Choose Executive when the arms should fill the frame and the story deserves its own page.

The framing gift

Print Page 1 on quality paper or card stock, drop it in a simple frame, and you have a heritage wall piece — without tourist-trap plastic crests or weeks of shipping. Pair it with Page 2 as a keepsake folder insert for birthdays, Father’s Day, reunions, or housewarmings.

How we research

Every Executive pack is prepared by a person — not a random clip-art crest generator.

  1. Record the surname exactly as typed, plus common spelling variants.
  2. Use your optional origin hint when sources list several branches.
  3. Consult historical and heraldic references, onomastic dictionaries, gazetteers, and archival summaries.
  4. Seek arms historically recorded for some families of this name, or commonly associated in reliable sources.
  5. Write the long commemorative narrative and typeset the portrait PDF in your chosen language.

We favour documented associations over decorative guesswork. When no arms can be documented, we say so and supply a clearly labeled artistic reconstruction — never a fake “official family coat of arms.”

Honest heraldry

A coat of arms is not automatically “yours” because you share a last name. Arms belong to specific individuals or lineages — not to every person with the same surname. Herald Lab never claims official entitlement.

Our documents are commemorative digital heraldic documents. They do not grant legal rights, noble titles, or exclusive ownership of any arms.

Quick answers

Is this “real” heraldry?
Researched commemorative documentation from historical and heraldic sources — not a grant of arms, not personal legal entitlement. Honesty is printed into the document.

Will it look cheap?
Executive is built for the wall: near full-bleed painted achievement, parchment texture, dense typesetting. Print-shop ready — not a low-res souvenir crest.

Shipping?
None. Digital PDF only. No parcel, no tracking, no customs.

Turnaround?
Typically ~24 hours after paid order. Check inbox and spam for Herald Lab.
